Dental occlusion is where your upper and lower teeth meet. Measuring your dental occlusion is helpful in treating disorders such as TMJ. We perform occlusal analysis with a Tek-Scan, also known as a T-Scan, to measure occlusion and track any destructive biting forces. This type of data cannot be captured by traditional occlusal methods. The T-Scan eliminates this problem and helps our dentists and team balance dental occlusions.
Using a T-Scan, we can:
- Protect restorations such as crowns, bridges and veneers from strong forces
- Monitor your occlusion throughout treatment
- Anticipate and prevent damage to your smile
