The MicrO2 device is a custom-made, easy-to-use mouth guard that holds your lower jaw in a slightly forward position, which helps to gently move the throat tissues away from the back of your throat. This allows for easier airflow, which can reduce snoring and other effects of sleep apnea.
Our dentists may recommend the MicrO2 sleep and snore device for clients who have had difficulty with sleep apnea treatments such as CPAP, or for clients who have not been able to find relief through other treatment. We will design your unique MicrO2 device by taking impressions of your teeth.
Caring for your MicrO2 device at home is simple. Each morning, you should clean the device using a soft-bristled toothbrush with a mild toothpaste, orthodontic cleaner, or antibacterial liquid soaps in cool or warm water. We do not recommend denture cleaners, as they may be too harsh.
